This notice covers the Trepai website. The Trepai iOS app has its own privacy policy in the app settings, which explains how the app handles account, location, and other app data.

When you visit the website
Our hosting infrastructure receives technical information needed to deliver the site, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and browser or device information. Technical logs may also be used to keep the site secure, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Technical logs are kept only for as long as needed for those purposes, unless a longer period is required to investigate an incident or meet a legal obligation. Hosting providers process this information on our behalf. If processing takes place outside the EEA, we use an applicable GDPR transfer mechanism.
When you contact us
If you email us, we process your email address, message, and any other information you choose to provide so we can answer you. Depending on the request, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or taking steps you request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and any related legal claims or retention duties. Our email provider may process the message on our behalf. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is needed for your request.
Cookies and external links
The public website does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. It does not set optional tracking cookies. Essential cookies may be used for restricted site administration, where needed for a signed-in session.
The site links to the App Store and social platforms. Opening those links takes you to a third party, whose own privacy information applies. We do not send your visit to those platforms merely by displaying a link here.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde) or another competent authority. Contact us at hi@trepai.world to exercise your rights.
